TIMBER CLADDING AND GABION WALL SHOW THE GREAT CONTRAST BETWEEN TEXTURES. WHEN BUILDING GETS OLD, MATERIALS WILL AGE WITH THE SITE, MAKING IT BELONG TO THE LAND....CURVED ROOF GENTLY TOUCH THE SHAPE OF NATURAL LANDSCAPE....

concept sketches

For designing a coastal building, the first shape come out from my mind is curve, there are few substances can link to this shape, waves, a beach, a hill, even the shape of the ocean. curved building suits the flat site, less impact the surroundings rather than straight lines.
structurally how to build a curved roof

integrate with two buildings, relations

how each space works

some thoughts

THE COLOURS OF CAR WRECK ARE TERRIFIC. THE FEEL IS OF SOMETHING OVERGROWN... AND BECOMING PART OF THE LAND....ALSO VERY INTERESTING TO SEE HOW NATURE TAKE IT BACK..
ocean shaped unique textures to the landscape.

i was impressived by the coastal landscape and the unique weather. materials are changed over by the salty coastal air.

Project 3 start

The Final Master Plan

The final mater plan is showed above,i'm gonna design a theatre and music room for this school.a new road access was introduced to connect highway and the school. and this change will make it more convenient to go to the school and satisfy the demand of using some buildings for community in after school hours.

The buildings i design are located at east corner, near the new carpark.
